What to ExpectTailored to Meet Your Needs Our friendly, client-centered approach allows us to customize plans based on your individual circumstances and goals. Our process is designed to make your experience much different than it would be with a traditional estate planning lawyer. We’re not intimidating or stuffy and we’re not billing you by the hour. We also know that the notion of putting together an estate plan can seem overwhelming at times. We make planning easy, understandable and comfortable for you. We begin with a family wealth planning session to learn about you, your family, your estate and your objectives. It takes around two hours and gives us both a chance to make sure we’re a good fit for one another. We’ll also review our planning levels and fees and help you determine a level that’s right for you. During this initial meeting, we’ll walk you through what your loved ones would have to do if something happened to you today. You can then determine if there are shortcomings in your current plan or the state’s plan for you. This allows us to turn around and focus on a plan that does meet your needs and expectations; a plan that’s tailored just for you and your family. Over the next few weeks our team puts your plan together so that your next office visit is to review and sign your documents. The very last step is funding the plan. Our entire process can be completed in about eight weeks and once it’s done you’ll have a comprehensive plan that protects you and your family. But our end goal is to do much more than prepare a set of papers; it’s to give you sound legal advice and provide results that will benefit you and your loved ones for many years to come. So don’t count on putting a binder on your shelf that you’ll never look at again; this is just the beginning of our relationship with you. Plans that work require ongoing maintenance to fine tune them to your changing needs and goals and changes in the law. That’s why we’ll stay in touch and offer a free-of-charge review of your plan every three years. It’s why we’re always available to answer questions and give advice. Our lasting relationship is how you’ll know your family is protected long into the future. |
