When your child turns 18, the State of California considers them an adult. Therefore you no longer have the right to make decisions for them, you no longer have the right to receive medical information about them, you no longer have the right to get financial or educational information about them, and you no longer have the right to make financial or medical decisions for them.

Can you imagine calling a hospital to find out why your child is there, only to be told that they can't talk to you?

This presentation will cover all of the legal documents that an 18 year old adult child should put in place to legally allow the parent to continue assisting and supporting them as they go off to college, trade school or whatever the next chapter of their lives is.

CLIENT Story

Heather was wonderful. She explained, in understandable terms, why it is important to establish an estate plan. I never realized what would happen, without a plan in place, and we could not bear the thought of our child in arms of absolute strangers while the court system sorted out his future.
